About This Experience

Welcome to Ueno, the birthplace of Tokyo!
Before Shibuya, Shinjuku and Harajuku even existed, this was the heart of Edo more than 400 years ago. That history shaped the flavours of Japan, and today Ueno remains one of the best places to taste real local food made with heart!

Our CEO was born and raised right here, so this tour takes you to the places locals actually love <3

The restaurants and izakayas we visit are not trendy or touristy, but warm, authentic and full of character, places that have been serving delicious Japanese food for generations :)

We sit down at each stop and enjoy a variety of classic favourites like freshly prepared sushi, Gyoza, grilled yakitori skewers, Ramen and much more!

Our guides are the number one reason guests love this tour Friendly, energetic, and full of stories they bring the food and the neighbourhood to life!

Whether you are a couple, family, or traveling solo, we want you to leave with a real connection to Ueno and its culinary history!
